Y'all are charging a pretty penny for unrestored video footage. Thankfully my ear is strong, because I would not be able to read a gosh-darned thing from the on-screen notation.
Additionally, I will say the "host" is too focused on trying to dissect the music. BB makes clear time and time again that he does not think about playing in such a calculated manner, and I dare say that doing so will only create a greater chasm between you and the blues.
Listen to BB's vocabulary, listen to his inflection, and don't get too hung up if you're ending your phrase on the flat seven on the correct beat of the proper measure.
Lastly: string up your guit' as light as possible. BB famously used .009s to even as light as .007 gauge. My fingers were dying after copying his first-finger bends.
I have always lived BB King and I was fortunate to have seen him at the Hampton beach casino up close snd personal. S cool anyway I downloaded for future but haven’t had time to dig in yet other than just checking the video out .
He breaks down these concepts so well, gives great insight to his playing. BB for life!
